The Masterclasses of the International Academy of Marimba by Ludwig Albert are intended for music students, professional musicians and teachers, who can register in the modalities of participant (student performer category) and listener participant. Teachers will teach classes on technique and musical interpretation based on the works presented by the participants.

There are two modalities to apply for the International Marimba Academy Masterclasses.

Active participant (August 25th to September 3rd) entitled to:

• Individual lessons of Marimba;
• Practice rooms, when available;
• Certificate of attendance of Ludwig Albert International Marimba Academy 2022;
• Free entrance in all extra activities;
• Kit International Marimba Academy 2022: t-shirt, pencil, bag, etc.

Active participant (Participants of Portuguese nationality) entitled to:

• Two individual lessons of Marimba;
• Free application fee;
• Special price per day: 30€;
• Practice rooms, when available;
• Certificate of attendance of Ludwig Albert International Marimba Academy 2022;
• Free entrance in all extra activities;
• Kit International Marimba Academy 2022: t-shirt, pencil, bag, etc.

Listener, entitled to:

• Possibility of attending all Masterclasses, between August 25th and September 3rd;
• Free entrance in all concerts;
• Certificate of attendance of Ludwig Albert International Marimba Academy 2022;
• Free entrance in all extra activities;
• Kit International Marimba Academy 2022: t-shirt, pencil, bag, etc.

Instrument Masterclasses are given by various Teachers (view more on Faculty).

All active participants must present prepared compositions (solo and/or duo or chamber music).

Active participant (August 25th to September 3rd):

1. Application fee: 100€
2. Masterclass fee: 400€
3. Total fee: 500 €

Listener: 110 €

Extra lessons available for active participants:

Fee per extra lesson – 70€. The intention to have extra lessons must be made by email to internationalmarimbaacademy@gmail.com

Application can only be made here and should include:

• Participant’s Identification;
• Proposed works;
• Current teacher and school information;
• Accommodation preferences;
• Type of registration modality.

Application deadline: June 30, 2022

After June 30th, a registration request by e-mail to internationalmarimbaacademy@gmail.com may be accepted if the Masterclasses are not complete.

1. The application fee of 100€ must be paid before June 30th. The registration is only valid after this payment should be made by bank deposit for the data sent by email at the time of completing the form.
2. Payment details will be sent by email in response to the application via the online form here.
3. Payment receipts will be sent by e-mail together with confirmation of application.
4. The remaining masterclasses fee must be paid in cash upon arrival at the event to guarantee registration.
